Solid, quality, easy-to-assemble monitor mount (plus a couple assembly tips)
I struggled to make the decision to buy this. I read several online review articles on monitor arms, then looked at many products on Amazon, reading the buyer feedback. Even the purported top brands had several very nasty 1* reviews. These were not just mildly disgruntled customers; they wrote whole essays on all that was wrong! I despaired of finding anything I'd like. I finally decided to go for a mid-tier priced item. I called Huanuo tech support with a question just to see how responsive they were, and they were great. So I decided to purchase this item.Though time will tell if it holds up, my initial impressions after unpacking and installation are very favorable. The item was packed very securely in a protective cardboard tray in a box that was inside another box, so arrived undamaged. Build quality is excellent, and all the parts are heavy-duty, not flimsy at all. I trust my monitor will be securely held in place even after multiple swivels. I bought it for a sit-stand desk I built; this will allow me to swivel the monitor into position where I sit, then swivel it over to where I have a walking treadmill. It works perfectly for that! It is a little stiff for tilting the monitor, but I prefer that to having it droop or otherwise change position, which it does not do.Assembly instructions were mostly pictorial, but easy enough to understand. All tools necessary for a c-clamp installation were supplied. (If you plan to use the bolt/grommet installation method, then you need a drill and drillbit to make the hole in the desk.) I have just one tip to share regarding the instructions, where it was not clear. On Step 3-2 where you attach the monitor connector to the monitor, it says that "the connector pin should be directed toward the top of the monitor, and has a diagram with a finger pointing to the pin itself. However, this will result in an upside down monitor. It should say the "pin assembly" should point toward the top of the monitor. The pin itself should point towards the bottom. If you study Step 4, you'll understand how it must be mounted in Step 3-2.My Samsung monitor has 75mm VESA holes, but they are in a recessed circular area that the mounting plate is too big to fit into. I added a couple washers between the monitor and the monitor mount, and then everything worked just fine. Overall, a really nice piece of equipment, reasonably priced, and I expect it to last a long time. Customer service was good the one time I called with a pre-sales question.

Best monitor arm available today, bar none.
I recently evaluated a half dozen monitor arms intended to be used with a Deco 40" curved ultrawide 5k monitor (best 5k monitor available today!) and this one topped the others by a mile. Why? It's all aluminum construction, particularly where it meets the pivot section that attaches to the monitor, and its quality of engineering, is simply better than the rest. Others, even those that are advertised as "heavy duty" use carbon fiber for that pivot area, and based on what I saw I'm not comfortable trusting my Deco on those. What's more, this Huanuo uses heavy duty steel springs at the pivot, it has an easier-to-use on/off plate which makes monitor placement a breeze, and its internal screws work as intended -- when you turn right to tighten, it does exactly that -- it holds the monitor in place without having to crank the screw down hard with inconsistent results as you have with other brands or models. Yet when you want to raise, lower, turn left/right, you don't have to fool around with the screws -- they're set once and done, and wherever you want to move your monitor, you can do so smoothly and have the monitor stay in place! It's a joy to use. This arm is simply industrial strength all around. It's THE Rolls Royce of monitor arms, and I've had quite a few, so I know. Its closest competitor is Wali but even Wali can't measure up to this arm's quality. Well done, HUANUO!

It's doing a GREAT job!
I've been using this since late October, and it's now end of December. It's holding my Odyssey 49" monitor. I have a corner desk, so it's attached to one side (please excuse the mess back there - I'm in the middle of reorganizing).Firstly, the monitor is MUCH lighter, when you take it's original stand off, so I felt quite confident that this would work well. I was not disappointed.Having it attached at an angle does limit SOME of the movement, since the monitor has to be turned to view straight on from my desk. but it STILL has great lateral movement, excellent turning adjustability, and lifts up about 10" (at the bottom), for access behind it. I especially appreciate the ability to angle the monitor up and down, based on the position of the unit.I do a good deal of detail work, so I needed to bring the monitor closer to my face. It's original stand was so huge, that was impossible. With this thing, I can adjust it to about 18" from my face, on a DEEP desk, and can move it back, to enjoy watching media. My neck and eyes are SUPER happy with the flexibility of this device.Challenges:PLEASE TEST THE INCLUDED USB EXTENSION CABLE BEFORE INSTALLING IT INTO THE UNIT! I didn't do that. It comes with a handy cable to insert into it's cable management system. Unfortunately, it was orange, but the perfect length to hit exactly right at the base of the unit. In my excitement, I installed it, and it DOESN'T WORK! Now, I'm not about to take this thing apart to make it work, so I have to have my cabling tied to the exterior of the arm, itself. So, don't make my mistake! The arm needs some serious tightening. They provide a handy hex key to do it, but you need to pay attention to all the locations to tighten. I was able to turn them sufficiently by myself (although I needed help to get the mount accomplished - especially holding the monitor to put the pieces together). Note that I don't have a strong grip, or much upper body power, so ANYONE likely can do it - but do be attentive, or your monitor won't stay still enough.I've been moving and lifting this for 2 and a half months, and I haven't yet needed to re-tighten it. It's flexible, but firm.Aside from that pesky cable issue, I HEARTILY recommend this arm!
