Does it’s job! A must-have!
Does exactly what it’s meant to—keeps working horses working. I use it for open fly belly, minor cuts, scrapes, and saddle sores. It heals fast with consistent use. For bad fly belly, applying it once daily clears it up in a few days, then I switch to Swat. For minor saddle sores, it helps healing while the horse still works (but of course, check saddle fit if sores appear). Consistency is key—it works like magic. A must-have!

Works exactly like it says and should
Bought this for our daughter for Easter. She has 2 horses and this is a great item to have on hand at all times. We have already used it on the horses for minor wounds they have gotten out in the pasture. We have also used it on our dog who was injured as well. Works well, smell great and great value!

Miracle Salve
I'm sad that I didn't take a before picture from the day I medicated the ram. I'll update with pictures, but I was truly amazed by the speed at which the wound healed. I was anticipating multiple applications, however, within 3 days of the initial application the wound was dry, and the ram was no longer scratching it with his hind hoof. I had used other wound dusts, only to have him scratch incessantly and only exacerbate the problem. I did use an adhesive pad and the stretchy self-sticking band as a dressing, but I feel that this product alone would have been fine. He's probably going to have a permanent bald spot - but - hey, better than the bloody crusty crown he was wearing!!

time
I use this on my horse at the cinch area whenever he gets a sore. Product is great but when I received it, it had leaked just a little from the heat and sitting sideways. Thanks

Works GREAT
My pug has a hot spot under his neck. I remembered using salve on my bulldog long ago so I purchased this and no lie his hot spot was almost completely gone after just 1 use. This stuff is wonderful!

A must try if your horse has skin problems.
We have a quarter horse that has a terrible time with her skin in May and then again in September. She will have a very small rubbed area around her ears, neck or shoulder. By day two the area has doubled in size. By day three she looks like she has either been burned or has road rash. First horse I've ever had that has had this kind of problem. I've tried numerous shampoos, creams, oils and supplements but none have been too effective. I usually have to call the vet and get antibiotics and a prescription antihistamine to get her cleared up.This fall, after her second flare up and healing from the antibiotics/antihistamines, she started to break out again. I came across this salve and thought I would give it a try. I used it on a place on her ear, shoulder and her belly. I have been very impressed. The place on her ear and shoulder were greatly improved by the 2nd day. The place on her belly has been slower to heal but it is healing. Best thing is I haven't had to call the vet again! It has also worked very well on the scratches that our Clydesdale has. Some reviews mentioned the lid of the container being a problem. It isn't the easiest open/close lid, but the effectiveness of the salve far out weighs the lid problem. I highly recommend this salve.

if you own a horse on this
Bickford‘s gold salve will heal a horse while you’re riding it. This is an amazing product.

Didn’t work well
Used this salve for hock sores. Was disappointed that it didn’t heal them up. Applied it every day for the past week and used bandages. The sores never scabbed up. Ended up using colloidal silver spray
