Filter fits as promised

Very well made. Looks nice. The (7) cats love it. It's very quiet. The porcelain parts are heavy, but very easy to clean. Replacement filters were readily available. I love that it has a low water shutoff, but so far we haven't let it get that low. I love that the cats can drink from it even if we lose power or the pump otherwise shuts off. My only quibble is that the filters are awfully small, which I would expect to affect how long before it clogs up and needs cleaning. I was pleased that it does seems to last a month, give or take, before needing to clean it and replace filters. Another issue is that there are places in the plastic pump/filter assembly that are near impossible to reach/clean. I have ignore those nooks and crannies so far, because they seem to stay pretty clean. I can only guess it's because most of the fountain is porcelain and it just doesn't get gooked up as much as our previous all-plastic fountain. The small filters and tough spots to clean are why I yoinked a star.

The pump works really well and my cats enjoy drinking from the multiple levels. Having the water always available just in case it loses power or the pump gives out is also a plus. It is really quiet, although there will always be a blue light on while it is working. It does not matter to me, so I did not look into if it can be turned off or not. The ceramic bowls and filter is easy to clean and does not stain, which is better than plastic fountains, but since it is ceramic it is heavier.In conclusion, this is a huge upgrade from plastic fountains, but make sure to take the weight and light output of the fountain into consideration when looking to purchase.

I bought this because of all the positive reviews.The product functions as advertised. It is very quiet. I was expecting a waterfall effect, but the water on the top feature is an extremely slow trickle. I have one medium-sized dog. She doesn’t drink out of the waterfall because its unproductive so she drinks from the sides. This is a problem because she can barely fit her snout inside the bowl. The manner in which she is forced to drink makes it super messy. I keep a boot tray under the bowl because it leaves puddles surrounding the bowl. I fill it up once a day. It’s also not the easiest to clean.It would be good for a small dog. Would I purchase it again for my pup? — Probably not.

This is my second purchase of this product. I dropped a frying pan on my first one and it broke. I've placed my new one in a safer place. I did cut myself pretty severely on the broken base thinking the crack was a piece of grass. Just cross eyed. This fountain does need to be cleaned about one every 10 to 14 days. Also be aware that the little spongy foam outer filter does not come with the same number of replacements as the activated charcoal filter. The little foam filter has to be hand washed and rinsed for reuse.

Exactly as advertised and worked perfectly. My cats love it!
