Tastes good, good protein supplement.
I’m not an athlete. I’m exercising more and plagued with bad muscle aches and cramps that didn’t ever seem to get better. I’ve been like this my entire life, including my athletic teen years. I was always extremely sore after any workout. Anyway, after logging my food for awhile I realized I have low daily protein intake, around 20-35g/day, and that apparently can cause the soreness and cramps I described. So I gave this a shot after exercising and noticed that I don’t feel the same amount of soreness. My muscles still feel tired but not nearly the same. Could be a coincidence, but I’m sold. The mix tastes good. I got the chocolate malt flavor. I had it with milk the first couple of times (no cold drinking water), and could barely tolerate it. I had it with cold water today and think it tastes much better.Update: still experiencing the same benefits re muscle soreness. I spent the last two days pulling an ungodly amount of weeds in my yard, then ran 3.5 miles both days too. I had very slight soreness in my back that was completely gone after one day, and some mild soreness in my legs that’s barely noticeable. Still convinced it’s the protein powder.FLAVOR UPDATE: I got the strawberry today and prefer it to the chocolate malt. It tastes like strawberry cake batter.Update 2: added strength training. Still not feeling much next-day soreness, and yesterday I really pushed myself so that I was shaking near the end. I thought those muscles would be horribly sore for sure today but there’s barely any soreness. It’s almost time to get a new container of this and I’ll do a flavor update then.(Probably) final update: I got cookies and cream next and that flavor tastes the best imo. Delicious and not too sweet. However, that flavor had different ingredients and it made my stomach so sick. I ended up throwing it out and got mocha flavor because it had less ingredients. It tastes ok, easily the most bland of the flavors I’ve reviewed. But honestly I can’t stomach it anymore. Just thinking about any of the flavors makes my stomach feel sick. Effectiveness-wise: my husband and I spent a day kayaking (we were out on the water about 7 hours). I drank two scoops of this when we got home and felt NO soreness the next day, whereas my husband felt quite sore. Still sold on protein powder. I also started drinking a berry flavor green powder and decided to mix it with plain whey protein powder (bulk supplements). I plan to go this route for the foreseeable future. Best wishes all.

Ovaltine!
Great taste. Most whey flavors are obnoxious, this isn't overwhelming.Just as others described, it tastes like Ovaltine. Anyone who grew up with that will certainly like this flavor.

Great tasting protein powder! A little difficult to hand-mix, + be careful of allergies!
The taste of this powder is excellent, but that's coming from someone whose favorite candy is maltesers! The powder mixes -ok- with milk with just a spoon/ knife, but there is still a significant quantity of unmixed clumps after mixing. I'm sure with a blender bottle or actual blender, the powder would incorporate perfectly.I'm not going to comment on the physical aspect of protein powder as its love or hate for some people, but I find that its a enjoyable way to get my protein after a workout, or when I don't eat enough protein during the day.My one gripe with the product is that it turns out I actually have some sort of allergy to the powder (slight throat swelling/discomfort), which is probably caused by the protein itself (I've had a similar sort of reaction to odwalla protein shakes). I would recommend trying a sample if you can somewhere, to make sure you aren't allergic to whey protein. I will have to switch the type of protein I use in the future as a test, but I definitely enjoyed this one minus the slight discomfort. As far as stomach pain and gas goes- I did not experience any issues, but that definitely depends on your body. Again, try and find a sample somewhere!

Good Stuff
The quality of this protein powder is some of the best I've ever tried. Syntha-6 move over. The taste isn't like any sweet milkshake or syrupy juice but it's not bad either, and I usually mix any of the chocolate flavors with some unsweetened cocoa powder for an extra boost of flavor and antioxidants. It usually doesn't all dissolve easily with spoon stirring but there aren't any large, hard-to-swallow clumps left behind either and it goes down easy. If you use a blender on it or shake it up vigorously in a thermos then it should all dissolve. Women should not be afraid to try this stuff, it will not buff you up or turn you into some She-Hulk creature, but it will effortlessly help create long, lean muscle mass on you if you are relatively active, plus it helps increase the speed of muscle repair and helps prevent muscle loss when you're inactive for a stretch of time. Only 120 calories per scoop without excess sugar and fat, very light when compared to other powders or supplements. If you take a scoop a day of the 2 pound size it should last approximately a month but you can also take more scoops as needed or based on your activity level. Added to a breakfast or mid-day shake it can be filling, in combination with physical activity you can see the results of it almost immediately and it's quite affordable too. Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard is my new go to protein powder.
