New Microsoft Lumia 640 LCD Display Touch Digitizer Glass Screen Assembly+Frame

Wanted to leave a review because reviews for Lumia 640 screen/lcd replacements on Amazon are spotty, so I wanted to report my positive experience.The item arrived yesterday and was exactly as described. The lcd and frame assembly provides everything you need to replace a broken screen for your Lumia 640, EXCEPT for tools. That was not an issue for me because I have the tools, but for those considering this product be advised that you will need to have tools already, or order a set to perform the repair. There are quality, inexpensive sets available on Amazon. Fwiw, I used a T4 screwdriver, tweazers, and a plastic pry tool to perform all of the tasks necessary to complete the lcd/frame replacement. Also, instructions were not included, but there are some excellent how-to videos available on YouTube.Some videos you will come across explain that you need to remove the speaker and camera from the top of the existing lcd/frame assembly and transfer them to the replacement lcd/frame assembly as part of the replacement process. That was not the case with this product. It includes those items as part of the new lcd/frame assembly.

I will say the shipping was fast and it item arrived undamaged, so that's good. However, I have 2 Lumia 640 phones and putting them next to each other, the resolution is not at good as on the other phone that still has its original screen. I'm glad to have this phone back up and running though, and it's not so bad that it can't be used. It's noticeable, but not the worst quality. It looks like the contrast is off a bit. Other than that, the touch screen works great, it fit perfectly (I just had to bring over the main speaker and the front camera from the broken screen assembly) and installation was quite easy and fast.Update:I ordered this at the start of June and it's now the end of June. The phone slipped off of the seat of the couch and onto the carpet and this new screen cracked. Yeah, this part not only displays a much lower resolution, it has absolutely no strength to it. Going to just spend a bit extra and find an OEM replacement. I wouldn't recommend this replacement part to anyone, especially since it isn't even the lowest priced option out there.

easy to install, but not even close to OEM quality. Strange psychedelic hue with some white images - makes white clothing take on some weird extra colors. Also costs more than an iPhone 6 LCD. Not too happy with the quality for this price.

Excatly what the thing says it is. Just a slow shipment but still came in a reasonable ammount of time. 5 stars. Very satisfied
