Finally, a truly flushable wipe without the harsh, toxic chemicals!
The media could not be loaded. It's quite surprising how few people are aware of the potential dangers associated with some modern wet wipes. Many contain chemicals like alcohol, chlorine, parabens, SLS, MCI, phthalates, and artificial fragrances, which can irritate the skin, disrupt hormones, and harm the environment. MCI (methylchloroisothiazolinone) can be incredibly harsh on the skin and cause rashes that might go unnoticed due to their often-hidden locations. SLS, in particular, can strip the skin of its natural oils, while phthalates and formaldehyde-releasing agents are linked to health risks, including potential cancer and reproductive issues. Alcohol and artificial fragrances can irritate the perianal area, causing conditions like perianal dermatitis. As convenient as regular wet wipes may seem, they often carry more health risks than benefits. The environmental side is just as concerning. Despite being advertised as flushable, most wet wipes are not biodegradable and contain strong plastic fibres. This means, unlike toilet paper, they don't break down in our plumbing or in sewers. Many people, myself included, have flushed these wipes, only to end up dealing with clogged toilets and even overflowing sewage pipes. It’s an unpleasant experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone. When flushed, these wipes can combine with fats, oils, and grease to form "fatbergs" that block pipes and sewer systems. Worse still, they contribute to pollution when they end up in water bodies, posing serious threats to aquatic life.To avoid these concerns, I have been using safe, toxic-free, biodegradable wet wipes from various companies for the past few years. However, they are still relatively new, and many supermarkets don’t stock them due to their higher price compared to standard wet wipes. It's disheartening, as the cheaper price of regular wipes comes at the cost of our health and the environment. I've already switched to unbleached, toxic-free bamboo toilet paper, but finding a reliable, cost-effective alternative for wet wipes has been challenging, especially now that my local supermarket has stopped carrying the ones I usually buy.Luckily, I found these Pura Flushable Moist Toilet Tissue Wipes, which seemed to tick all the boxes, so I decided to give them a try, and I’m so glad I did because they are fantastic. These wipes are accredited as "Fine to Flush" by Water UK, meaning they are genuinely flushable and break down just like toilet paper. Made from 99% water and organic aloe vera, they are suitable for sensitive and eczema-prone skin, and they are dermatologically approved. They are 100% plastic-free, biodegradable, and compostable, made from plant fibres, and certified by multiple organizations including the British Skin Foundation, Allergy UK, and the Soil Association. The quality of these wipes is truly impressive. They are soft to the touch and provide a gentle experience on the skin, with a soothing effect thanks to the aloe vera. Unlike many other brands, these wipes are thick and moist, offering a subtle freshness that ensures a clean feeling without being overly wet. The size is also excellent; they're larger than most competing brands, which means fewer wipes are needed per use, providing great value for money. In terms of packaging, I was pleased to find that the wipes are now interleaved, so they follow each other out of the pack, making them easy to pull out one by one without tearing. I've seen some reviews mentioning issues with the wipes not coming out individually or tearing, but I haven’t experienced that at all with any of the packs I've used. The seal on the pack is incredibly strong, which helps maintain their moisture, something I’ve had problems with when using cheaper supermarket brands. The moisture level is just right. Not too dry, but also not soaking wet with chemicals. There is a very faint scent, but it doesn’t smell like anything specific, which I actually prefer. I don’t need my flushable wipes to have an overpowering aroma. These wipes are also versatile. They’re great not just for personal hygiene but also for quick household cleaning, and they’ve come in handy for camping trips. When it comes to the price, I paid £12.18 for 14 packs, each containing 40 wipes (560 wipes total). While this is more expensive than standard toilet wipes, it’s still fantastic value for money considering what you’re getting: a wipe that’s safe to use, made without fragrances, alcohol, parabens, and totally chlorine-free. I’m just grateful to Pura for making such an excellent product. If you’re on the fence about trying them, you can also get individual packs for less than £1, so there’s little risk in giving them a go. They are the best option I've found for those looking for a safe, effective, and environmentally friendly alternative to regular wet wipes. Give them a go, you won't be disappointed.Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I hope that you found it helpful and that it assists you in your decision-making. I try to be as honest and fair as possible, as those have always been the reviews that helped me the most.

Great wipe, terrible pack
The wipes themselves are fantastic - strong, robust but really soft and comfortable on the skin. Theres no real fragrance to them which is great, because its not necessary (and one less thing to irritate the skin!) and theyre extremely moist, so feel like they do a great job cleaning.Ive used them as toilet wipes - I usually use andrex ones but these are far better - and after use I feel very clean and fresh - but also for quick freshen up on the face, armpits and nether regions - I would also think theyd make great quick-clean wipes for kids hands and faces as theyre so strong but gentle. The only (big) criticisim I have though is the pack design. The hole to pull the wipes out of is pathetically small, and the wipes VERY tightly stacked so the edges are difficult to get hold of through the tiny hole - so of course every few wipes it becomes next to impossible to pull one out without either tearing a hole in the wipe, or shredding it - rendering it useless - or pulling 4 or 5 out at once which you then have to force back in which could mean youre losing some of the hygiene of them.Additionally the reclose tab loses its sticky about half way through the pack generally - but because you invariably have to stuff ones back in when youve accidentally pulled a bunch out, you wet the surface which just worsens the stick. The hole could do to be about 50% bigger, and the tab to have a better grip when closed. Its frustrating, as this is such a massive oversight on what could be a fantastic product.

Great value.
Great wipes just as good as the top brand, easy to get out of the packetwhich some are not, because they fall apart.Would recommend.

Gentle and Effective
These wipes are a game-changer! They’re incredibly soft and leave you feeling fresh without any irritation—perfect for sensitive skin. I was sceptical about the "flushable" claim, but they do break down just like toilet paper. Highly recommend for the whole family.

DO NOT FLUSH. Not flushable!
I have used these products for a couple of years now, always really happy with them. They ‘physically’ flush fine but what you aren’t seeing is the build up in your pipes!I have just had to have the local water authority out as the sewer was completely blocked with sewage starting to leak out and they showed me and it’s entirely these wipes. They stick to the pipes, they do not disintegrate, they WILL block your pipes. So if you use them, dispose of them in a bin. Not in your toilet.
