Bolted it on and hooked up all the lines and hoses and off it went. No set up at all. Runs perfect.

My mother gave me her old Toro Recycler mower because she got it "tuned up" by a professional and it still never worked....so she thought her fairly new mower was simply garbage and didn't want it anymore. That's how it made it into my hands....so what did I do? I started taking the mower apart! After removing the tank, exhaust, and air filter, I was able to get at the carb. Removed the linkages, and unbolted the old carb from the mower. I dropped the bowl, and was disgusted at what I saw. These mowers gas delivery system is POORLY designed. The carb was gummed head to toe with ethanol. I don't know why, but I cleaned the bowl, then moved to the jets...and that's when I gave up. All the pitting in the carb bowl, and the forever clogged jets, along with a float that's pin was so rusted I couldn't even remove it with proper tools. It just wasn't worth my time. So I jumped online, and found this little gem...I ordered the replacement carb, and it got here via prime, quickly as expected. Since the mower was still apart in the operating room (my garage), I just bolted this guy right on. As I was putting the mower back together, I used new fuel line and added an inline fuel filter and a petcock to turn the fuel on/off with. After getting it all back together, I added some gas, some seafoam, and I primed the engine/carb (I did about 20 pumps as I knew the 2-3 it suggested normally wouldn't work). The mower was practically itching to get started and mow up a storm! This mower seems fully restored now, as it has a new carb, new fuel delivery system (so i can shutoff the fuel and let the mower run to empty the carb bowl to prevent this issue in the future), new spark plug, and new oil. Couldn't be happier, and now my mom is jealous that she spent almost $100 to have a professional (not) "fix it" instead of just coming to me.Conclusion:Combined with a couple fuel system tweaks, this direct drop in replacement should work perfect for years to come..especially with proper mower maintenance. Why hire someone to do something that takes all of 30 minutes, a youtube video, some very basic tools, and zero wrench turning abilities to fix? Brought this carb on Amazon after reading positive reviews. I tried cleaning the original and took it to a repair shop who said they "trash ones in this condition". I went to another shop to buy a new carb and was told that I would have to order it for about $50 and wait a week. I went home and to the net. I found this one for $16. Ordered it via free shipping and got it in a few days. Put it on and found out I also needed a coil. Bought a new coil on Amazon for another $16 and it put it on. Trick on the coil is to use a 0.010 inch feeler gage between coil and flywheel. I put in some fresh gas, opened up the carb throttle with a paper click, and used a little starter fluid and my mom's 20 year old mower came roaring back to life. Next time, I will buy the $25 kit that contains the carb and coil and I think the kit also has a gas-line and air filter. Good bargain for the parts. Hang in there and good luck with your repairs.

This carb is an exact, and I do mean EXACT, duplicate/replacement for that which came originally with my Toro 6.5 hp GTS model 20017 mower. And I could not believe the price, expecting that a new carb would be at least $60... $13 is amazing. Bolted on without any hiccup or problems whatsoever, direct/exact swap out... easy peasy. Lol, the mower started back up on the very first pull! And now it is running strong. I am *very* pleased with this purchase, I should have done this years ago.

Product was the exact fit and replacement part for my Toro push lawn mower. Once installed, the lawn mower started right up on the first pull. Only thing to comment on would be that the shipping took a little longer that Prime 2 day delivery.
