Christmas Cookies (Seasonal Cookbook Collection)

I have a few GBP cookbooks, but I was specifically looking for a "Cookie" recipe book. I read the reviews and since they were mixed I took a chance. I already know what their cookbooks are like. I really wasn't disappointed. This book is packed full of so many recipes! From cutouts, to drop, to bars, to jar gifts, and even drink recipes. I'm from Germany so I do make a lot of our traditional German cookies but my family is very American so I like to find recipes I think they might like, this book definitely fits the bill! It's also packed with great little cute ideas to do for gift giving or get togethers. I did notice there are some recipes from readers passed down from family members from other countries and some influenced by traditional European cookies that I recognized. There are pictures in the middle of the book for some recipes, but most recipes do not have pictures. My personal opinion after reading through many of the recipes is that pictures aren't really needed. You're going to make them your own anyways, but the recipes are easy to follow as well. I'm definitely glad I bought the book and I'm thinking of buying another one for a Christmas gift. It's absolutely adorable and easy to handle, not big and clunky.

Was looking for a good Christmas cookie recipe book. WOW I struck gold with this one. A must have for all cookie makers and grandmother's who make cookies with their grandchildren! The variety of cookies will make baking for your cookie swaps rewarding! Buy this one! Happy baking!

Huge fan of all of the Gooseberry Patch cookbooks. Excellent tried and true recipes. We made a few from here this Christmas to add to our cookie trays and everyone was pleased. Great books and always affordable.

First I read the entire book in 1 day and have crimped the edge for every recipe Im going to try for Christmas cookie exchange...Cant wait to get cooking!

At 51, I judge namely cookie books by its ability to show me something new.This one has a good amount of both knowns and unknowns to try.I always opt for spiral editions which I did with this one. That being said, the only thing to make this book better is laminated pages to go with it.Edit: this is the cheap spiral and I've already had to put pages and the back cover back on. Additionally, of the 5 I've tried so far, the baking times are way off.Rethinking keeping it.

I love these books but especially this style which allows the book to lay flat. There are also some nice color photos which in other formats are not included. Looking over the content I can't wait to dive in. You can always rely on these books for great time tested recipes!

I was disappointed that so many recipes called for crisco. But there were many that called for butter.

Gift but recipient loves it.

I was not impressed with this book at all.I was very disappointed. I tried several recipes and none turned out as described. The measurements were not accurate. I have baked for over 25 years so I am a very experienced baker. I have followed several other books and never had such a issue as this one. I would not recommend. Sorry to the authors but this was not rated very well for my opinion and give it a 2 out of a 5.

Loved the book.....ordered many copies to give as Christmas gifts this year with cookie jars and homemade cookies
